The concept of simple living has been on my heart for quite some time. Living simply can have a different meaning to a variety of people. To me, it means getting rid of clutter - both in my home and in my mind and heart. It means going back to the basics and maybe even relearning skills I've forgotten or being open to trying new ones.
I am reminded of the need to live simply whenever I clean, moving bric-a-brac and things to dust - stuff that has become a dust catcher rather than a cherished possession.
I'm exploring this thing called "Living Simply" and I'm finding it's not always an easy thing. Cooking from scratch takes much more time than popping something in the microwave. It's much easier to sit at the computer and email a birthday greeting than picking just the right greeting card at the store and then addressing the envelope, writing inside and sticking on a stamp.
I'm finding out, though, that it's worth the extra effort. Come explore with me....
